Q: I heard that a fabulous franchise known as Salad Creations was coming to the Naples area. I've visited a few locations on the east coast as well as one in Sarasota and I was really excited when I heard it was coming to Naples. Can you please confirm? I would appreciate any information you can give. Thanks so much. -- Patty Luppy, Naples A: Salad Creations, promoted as a fresh alternative to fast food, plans to open a North Naples location in mid-November. The new restaurant will open next door to Pei Wei Asian Diner in The Collection at Vanderbilt, the new shopping center on the northwest corner of Airport-Pulling Road and Vanderbilt Beach Road, according to Naples resident Jeff Columbia, who co-owns the chain's Southwest Florida territory with Sarasota resident Dean Visaggio.
'Transformers' sequel in the works
Paramount and DreamWorks are planning to release "Transformers 2," a sequel to this summer�s sci-fi blockbuster, in June 2009.
Action master Michael Bay, who directed the first film, is expected to direct Part Two as well, Variety.com reported Thursday.
