Still No Answer on AF2 In Yakima
Monday was the deadline for Yakima to apply for an AF2 franchise. And here's a surprise...once again, we still have no answer. After pushing their meetings back for a week, the AF2 was planning to vote on new franchises on Monday, including one in Yakima. But, instead, the league decided to wait a few more days.As for that ownership group in Yakima, well, there's still no word from them either. And apparently, the league is now saying there really is no deadline for the city to find a group of owners. However, the management at the Yakima SunDome says if someone wants to start booking weekend dates for 2008, they can't hold them for the AF2 forever. So, right now, everything is still up in the air, and may be decided at any point in the next few days...or weeks...or months. .
